Key Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting
for a Quality Engineer to work for a global leading company at
their site in Fareham.
Outline of Role:
As a
Quality Engineer you will ensure capability and alignment of the quality
management system with regulatory standards, customer expectations and relevant
internal processes and procedures, striving to continuously improve the product
quality but at the same time, reducing the cost of quality.
You
will be responsible for data collation, data recording and reporting on a
regular basis and will be required to analyse results and output looking
towards continual improvement at all times.
The
work is varied and will include product testing with precision tooling and
methodology; Qualifications of Machines and Consumables; Implementing and
refining Quality control procedures; Implementing company Best Practices;
Quality Calibration of equipment and tools; Working with and to a Quality
Management System; Collation and recording of data; Maintain accurate records,
answer queries and provide statistical and management reports and presentations
on a regular basis. Preparation for and involvement in both internal and
external audits - knowledge of and working to ISO standards is a requirement.
Essential
knowledge & competencies:
§
Ideally hold
an Engineering Qualification: minimum CQI Diploma in Quality Management or
equivalent related discipline, incl. excellent knowledge of ISO9000 standards.
§
Has proven
experience within a quality department in a production environment.
§
Has strong
knowledge of quality assurance techniques and tools related to production
processes.
§
Understands
lean manufacturing principles and the application within the quality concept.
§
Has the
ability to analyse quality data effectively and drive from this continuous
improvement.
§
Has proven
experience in strong decision-making abilities.
§
Has working
knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
§
Has
knowledge of ISO standards particularly ISO9001:2015.
§
Is able to
work both as a team player and on own initiative.
§
Has
excellent communication skills and is able to conduct training sessions or give
presentations.
§
Is well
organised, structured and motivated.

Fixed Term
Permanent Contract (18 months approximately)
§
Hours: 37.5
hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm)
§
Salary
range: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependant on skills and experience)
§
Location:
Fareham (but some travel will be expected)
