Key Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for an ISS Network
Support Technician to work for a world leading company based in Fareham.
General:
This position combines
a project and support role with daily operational requirements in the UK ISS
team. For the UK ISS team this means working on sites leading the design and
implementation of IT infrastructure with a strong focus on the production
networks, systems and security.
Core Mission:

Lead
person for the technical support on the UK sites and connected sites
·
Provide
direction and technical expertise to EMEA sites
·
Ensure
standard Company architecture is deployed on production sites compliant with
MSC and other corporate standards
·
Design
and implement appropriate solutions to audit non-conformances
·
Maintain
strong security in Production networks and support logical audits
·
Work
with other regions on common topics and solutions
Main Responsibilities:
·
Manage
networks on UK sites in line with Company standards
·
Manage
servers and infrastructure components on UK networks
·
Work
closely with internal teams and external providers to deliver good performing
technical platforms and services on EMEA sites
·
Coordinate
or project manage technical projects
·
Ensure
sites are aligned with standard Company architecture and provide approved
temporary solutions if needed.
·
Ensure
production infrastructure compliance with MSC
·
Prepare
and lead logical audits on UK site and manage or contribute to audits on other
EMEA sites as needed
·
Deliver
local technology projects on time and within budget.
·
Recommend,
design and deliver improvements to the network and systems to meet changing
demands and new technology.
·
Maintain
a strict change control mechanism for all changes
·
Provide
technical guidance and support to customer implementations.
·
Maintain
up-to-date technical documentation on the network including: network
topology/diagrams, back-up and restore procedures, security procedures,
operation/support procedures.
·
Manage
and monitor subcontractors who are implementing changes affecting any network
or systems.

Qualifications /
Experience / Skills:
·
Strong
track record in technical projects or operations or support
·
Experience
of working in secure environments
·
Strong
networking and server management
·
Strong
knowledge of Hyper-V (Cluster)
·
Strong
logical audit experience
·
Working
in an international IT/IS organisation
·
Good
understanding of business flows
·
Knowledge
and experience of WAN/VPN Management
·
Server
deployment and administration
·
Firewall
Management (Cisco ASA / Juniper)
·
Strong
knowledge of Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, NTFS Permissions)
·
Knowledge
and experience of building and maintaining SAN environments
·
Excellent
communicator (written and verbal)

Frequent travel will be
needed within the UK, also some travel required to work in EMEA.

Ideally
will hold existing security clearance or be able to gain clearance in line with
the criteria.
