Elite HR are proud to be working with a leading supplier of civil and military aircraft structure based in the Southampton area to recruit for a Learning and Development Officer. This is a full-time, 2 year fixed-term contract with an annual salary of £25,000.

You will be responsible for creating an energetic and exciting learning environment across the business and in partnership with Managers to ensure that they work towards improving knowledge, skills and behaviours that are needed to drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

 

·                     Monitor regulatory requirements for staff training and competence and ensure that all requirements and subsequent changes are reflected in the training

·                     Ensuring that every L&D intervention includes robust evaluation of the effectiveness and measurement of return of investment

·                     Identify and monitor training KPI’s and prepare reports including training costs, budget and completion

·                     Monitor and evaluate feedback and effectiveness of all L&D activity

·                     Use feedback to improve the L&D service and find new and better ways to operate

·                     Support our apprenticeship and NVQ programmes

·                     Develop a formal coaching and mentoring programme

·                     Implement new initiatives identified through organisational development including:

ü  Develop a leadership development framework; Design, deliver and embed appropriate interventions/solutions in support of a wider management development framework

ü  Effective communication of L&D initiatives, engaging with staff across the organisation

Person Specification

·                     Degree level Human Resources qualification or equivalent experience

·                     Experience working in a Human Resources function

·                     Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

·                     Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·                     A strong influencer and self-motivated

·                     Strong time management and organisation skills

·                     Confident and able to present training sessions/lead discussions with large groups of people
